Bryan Donnell

About Me

 

Bryan Donnell (director) most recently returned from South Africa where he began work as Director of Photography on a documentary about “The Elders,” a group started by Nelson Mandela and Desmond Tutu that also includes Jimmy Carter and Kofi Annan. Other recent work includes A&E’s top-rated “Intervention” and a documentary for National Geographic. Bryan contributed to Robert Bahar and Almudena Carracedo’s “Made in L.A.,” a Sundance- and ITVS-funded documentary feature that premiered nationally on PoV. Films Bryan has shot have won the Palme d’Or (Best Short) at Cannes, a student Oscar and two student Emmies, Best Cinematography and Feature at the Melbourne Underground Festival. and a number of other best-of’s at film festivals around the world. TV clients have included the History, Discovery, Travel, Fine Living, SciFi, and the Learning Channels, ABC Family, A&E, Bravo, Fox, Sky, PBS, and ESPN2 among others. He earned his MFA in film production at USC and BA in Art at UNC Chapel Hill.
