Producer/Director DK Rene has an extensive background in Film Production. As a graduate of the USC School of Cinema Television with an emphasis in Production, DK has written, produced and directed several dramatic films in various genres.

Prior to founding Surface Seven Pictures, LLC with Co-Founder Michael Korbic, DK was Director of Production at Landmark Global, USA before being quickly promoted to Vice President of Marketing. DK has also worked with high-level, independent companies such as Filmwerks Entertainment and Miramax Films.

DK’s 23 minute long-form short Blink of an Eye (which DK directed,
produced, wrote and edited) was featured in the Cannes Short Film Corner in 2008 and played as an official selection in the West Hollywood International Film Festival and the Beverly Hills Hi-Def Film estival. Michael Brown (Script Doctor and Consultant on such movies as Braveheart, Apollo 13 and The Shawshank edemption) said, "Blink of
an Eye is an intense, superbly acted film that tugs at the emotions.

Most recently, DK produced the Surface Seven Pictures thriller No Time to Fear (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1134671/) starring Jimmy DeBello (Detroit Rock City, Cabin Fever) and Louis Mandylor
(My Big Fat Greek Wedding, Redline).
