DIY DAYS is a FREE roving conference for those who create. Focused on creativity and storytelling the event strives to help those working in film, music, games, design and software to fund, create, distribute and sustain from their creative efforts. On April 3rd DIY DAYS is coming to the New School in NYC.

DIY DAYS NYC needs your help as we are mounting one of the largest events we’ve done to date. There will be over 30 speakers and more than 25 different sessions. While we’ve tried to barter for as much as possible NYC is an expensive place to hold an event.

There are a few things that we need money for…

- Event insurance
- After party mixer (location, food, drink)
- Printing of programs
- Coffee and bagels at the event
- walkie talkie rentals for conference staff

Taking place over the course of a day the event consists of talks, presentations and workshops. We’ll also be introducing a new section at DIY DAYS NYC called “incubator.” The incubator gathers experts in various fields (legal, funding, biz dev, software developers, designers, brand specialists) to help two entrepreneurs think thank their media startups.

DIY DAYS events have been held in LA, San Francisco, Boston and Philadelphia. To date over 1,500 people have attended and the videos which we’ve released as open media have been viewed upwards of 400,000 times.
