INDIE FILMMAKER AND PRODUCER FROM COLOMBIA.
I am passionate about creating films which encourage people to think about Latin-american films differently and bringing the world closer together through art. I am looking to make films full of creativity and passion, seductive and smart in a closed and traditional society where the done-to-death magical and social realism still gets all the funding and the films are usually made by older men.
I released my first short film , Sin Decir Nada , last year which is an outstanding example of how films can definitely serve the purposes of transforming our views about latin american cinema and bring the world closely together.
The short film has received awards and mentions at national and international level. Then I had the chance of represent my country in different Film festivals and events such as the INPUT Conference 2008 in South Africa and the 2009 Tokyo Video Festival where it was awarded with the People’s award and the Excellence award.
I had different experiences of training in filmmaking such as my recent selection at the Talent Campus of the XIV Film Festival of Guadalajara (Mexico) in cooperation with the Berlinale Talent Campus.
