Ever since his grade school days, David Schatanoff has been in constant artistic competition with his peers. Originally influenced by bands including The Beatles, The Monkeys, and Elvis Presley, David began a musical career starting with piano, drums and trumpet. Later, he focused his efforts on percussion instruments becoming highly proficient in orchestral percussion in his high school years.
After attending a year of college as a pre-med student, David quickly returned to his love of music and attended the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University.
