About Me

 

Over the years Chef Mark's reputation and skills have grown to make him one of the true up and coming sushi chefs.  With over 14 years experience making sushi, he has a level of passion and dedication rivaled by very few chefs. 

In 2005 he started Soyo Sushi catering. He began doing events all over the eastern United States. In 2007, Chef Mark trained at the California Sushi Academy and worked at YoSake, while still running his catering business which was growing. In 2010 he returned to the restaurant industry at the Cattle Barn Steak and Sushi restaurant as head sushi chef. The restaurant's sushi received raved reviews on Yelp, Trip Advisor, and North Carolina Wine Press.

Chef Mark remains true to the culinary roots of sushi, by maintaining a balance of with his food that few others do, that honors the Japanese heritage of the food while balancing the market desire for fusion choices.

Over the years, Chef Mark has become one of the better known sushi chefs and has developed a strong reputation for innovative cuisine. Chef Mark provides unique attention to detail  that is sure to delight and attract customers from all over.
