In 1985, a guard at the county jail deals with a troublesome inmate and a surprise visit from his family. In 1996, that inmate finds a teenage girl stranded on the side of the road, her car beyond repair. As both stories unfold, the inmate, the guard, and his family all discover how the decisions you make today can greatly change your future.
This film is based on the filmmakers own family and experiences as the daughter of a police officer. The script for this 10-minute short film has won the WILL Interactive Short Screenplay Contest in January 2010 and was a selection for the DC Film Alliance Live Reading in April. It was recently nominated for Outstanding Short Screenplay-Graduate at the Visions Awards for 2010.
