London-born, New York-based Kat Popiel runs Content & Community at Indiegogo. Having traveled to over 35 countries across the globe, she continues to meet and eat with incredible minds. She has produced over 200 events that have mixed the worlds of fashion, music and design targeted towards lifestyle brands such as Diesel and KSwiss. Instrumental in the development of the infamous Deal Real Records in London, she has built a specialty in bridging grassroots culture with global brands for start-ups such as Vladivar, Whyte & Mackay and Creative London. She spearheaded the creative development of DeKalb Market in Brooklyn utilizing shipping containers as retail space for emerging entrepreneurs. A contributor to PSFK.com and countless cultural publications, she recently co-founded On Plate, Still Hungry a new online food magazine geared towards creatives.
