IndieGoGo Insight: 70% of Campaigns Meeting Funding Goal Have 3-8 Perks
70% of campaigns meeting funding goal have between 3-8 perks.
Perks are rewards, incentives, and gestures of thanks that you can create to help give possible funders incentives to fund your campaign. Creating the right amount of perk options, at the different contribution amounts, is one of the most important steps to creating a great campaign. In fact 88% of campaigns which exceed their funding goal offer at least three perks.

From Slums to Stage, a Cambodian children's theatre project trying to raise $3,000, is offering 5 really amazing perk options for contributors. One of them is a trip to Cambodia with the program. The funder gets to help to assist in theatre workshops and watch the performance live!
FFL FAB LAB: Eight Amazing Perks!
FFL Fab Lab, the very first makerspace in a public library, is offering eight amazing perk choices. You can contribute to providing the public with free access to a 3D-Printer and receive some very neat stuff.
It is important to set aside time to brainstorm and create your perks while you are making your IndieGoGo campaign. As you create your perks, don't forget our customer happiness team is here to help answer questions and give support while getting things set up.
Very well analyzed!

I tried Indiegogo with our short film "Death Wish" a couple years back & I think we had about 6 or 7 perks. We did meet our fundraising goal & we made the film, which toured the fest circuit and won some awards.
I'm definitely excited to be back at with our new film Death vs. Robot (http://www.indiegogo.com/Death-vs-Robot) even if it is a lot of hard work, but we definitely wanted to keep the perks down. I think even 8 is too much. 4 or 5 seems like a good shorts list, unless there's some ingenuity in the perks to be had. We're trying that - having supporters take sides, either Death or Robot, with the side with more supporters getting a bonus perk - but the jury's still out if it will be a success. It's fun thinking of this stuff though :)

I had some big difficulties with this campaign. If anyone have some tips for me for next time I'm all ears!

Do you have a chart that shows the percent of campaigns that met their goal by the number of perks they offered? For example, for campaigns offering 1-2 perks, x% met their goal. For campaigns with 3-4 perks, y% met their goal, etc, etc. That would be really helpful and interesting insight. Thanks.
