Love those tips by Cielito, it really is all about connecting with people and making them feel like they are a part of the project from start to finish.
Love these funding interviews Danae, keep them coming and I will keep sharing them with my followers and fans!
My name is Lawrence, recently, returned from working in Bollywood India, where I was hired. Cut the fat, I returned to Hollywood Ca, where I live and took a years time, with self-alone, and put my life on the table.
I wrote a screenplay based on a true story, titled 'UNTOLD STORY OF A NOBODY, about, An avid boxer, bodybuilder, commercial scallop fisherman believes to be SOMEBODY he has to become a multi-millionaire movie star. He is given the chance of a life time to travel and train a Bollywood star in India. Much to his surprise, he finds out, that with real people in real life, rather than "reel" people in "reel" life, he all ready is a SOMEBODY when he meets the beautiful Zahra, in the Republic of South Africa.
My point is the project, cannot be completed without others who believes in it and helps promote it. I worked on a few scenes, with a 'old school' writer, director, from the days of BEN HUR. I mentioned how I wanted to do more to get the word out and feel helpless now that the screenplay and synopsis is finished sending out query letters with not much luck yet.
I said, I wanted to go to NewBedord,Massachusetts, where the movie opens up do a small trailer teaser, with no-name actors, and myself. His comment was, its a waist of time. I feel after reading and watching others do just that its worth the ongoing effort, which I am inspired to listen to and watch a few video's with vigor, and promoting the dream.

@ Lawrence: Post your project - I'll support it! I LOVE Bollywood movies, especially Shahruhk Khan's. :)
Mine IndieGoGo project isn't a movie, but it's about using video to share messages and information. :) But it's also about making dreams come true. http://www.indiegogo.com/See-The-Amazing-Markets-of-New-York-City
Best of luck!
