Bringing Work-in-Progress Film to the Indie Film Festival Circuit:

In front of a SOLD OUT house, IndieGoGo filmmakers showcased clips from their work-in-progress films on Saturday night as part of IndieGoGo's Tease & Screen at the Sausalito Film Festival.

Audience members were given cards with the projects IndieGoGo urls so they could take action and help get these works-in-progress made!

It was an opportunity for the filmmakers to start building excitement for their films…

… As well as a great environment to get feedback and enlist audience participation.

One filmmaker – Mike Hedge of As the Dust Settles – showcased a clip from his Burning Man documentary and then asked the audience to pick the ending of the Tease: Path A: followed the character of Tarynn or Path B (following the character of Josh)  Check out Mike's blog on his Follow Your Own Path experiment and outcome here.

Calls to Action – DIWO Style

The Teases were followed by a Filmmaker Q&A, which in true DIWO (Do-It-With-Others) fashion ended with clear Calls-to-Action:

Screening

A full screening of Win or Lose – a funny documentary about the thrill of the win and agony of defeat… at summer camp wrapped the showcase.

Where Internet & Film Collide – Sausalito!

It wouldn't be an IndieGoGo event if it didn't involve a party!  So in true form, IndieGoGo invited all the Tease & Screen attendees and filmmakers to an after-party.  Thanks to Alma Desnuda for rocking the house!  The music was awesome!
