About Me

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Brian worked in the entertainment industry for fifteen years as an assistant to the director, research and production assistant which included Financial News Network, Columbia Pictures Television, Warner Bros. Television, Sony Pictures Television, TriStar Television, Buena Vista Television, Carsey-Werner Co., E! Entertainment Television.

Moving to San Francisco in 1995, Brian helped launch TechTV (originally ZDTV) working as a director, assistant director, floor director and camera operator of live and live-to-tape productions until the companys demise in Dec. 2001.

In 2004, utilizing his just acquired teaching credential to volunteer overseas for the Peace Corps also enabled Brian the opportunity to research and shoot a demo reel with the intention to see his first hour-long documentary realized.

Moving to Chicago July 2007, Brian continued work as an associate producer for the Lake County Government Communications Department shooting short segments on forest preserve / urban development work in the county and live-to-tape broadcasts of the county board meetings and as a filmmaker for web-infomercials for Internet search engine Citysearch/GeoBeats, as well as an on-call elementary school teacher.

Diligent fundraising efforts enabled Brian to return to Tonga July 15, 2008 for five weeks, and with a small stealth production crew, began production to document the experiences and voices of a community of transgenders in the Kingdom of Tonga, South Pacific.

As of July 2009, Brian now resides in the Seattle, WA area immediately establishing creation of production company Favorite Filmworks (producing its first work, a video promotional for the non-profit agency Clothes for Kids in Lynnwood, WA), also obtaining fiscal sponsorship with Three Dollar Bill Cinema while continuing post-production on Like a Lady: The Fakaleitis of Tonga. In addition, Brian works as a camera operator for Radio8Ball the Pop Oracle program, elementary school teacher, and consultant on low budget independents.
