Barbara Ghammashi is a producer whose recent credits include the documentaries “Home Front,” (Consulting Producer) and “Beslan: Three Days In September,”(Coordinating Producer). Her latest film “Hot Flash”, a 2007 IFP Market selection, is about the critically-acclaimed band Saffire – The Uppity Blues Women.
Barbara spent 5 years at Showtime Networks Inc. where she was a Director of Original Programming working on such projects as “Speak,” (premiered at Sundance in 2004); ”Bereft,” (premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival) and the documentary “After Innocence,” (awarded a Special Jury prize at Sundance in 2005).
Projects in development include “Everything’s Going to Be Alright” (DGA Award winner Tasha Oldham attached to direct and Tom Everett Scott, Aasif Mandvi, Alan Ruck and Monique Curnen attached to star); and “Naming the Flowers” based on the novella by Kate Wilhelm.
