Our StoryIn its second year, the Astoria/LIC Int'l. Film Festival continues to promote an open and
nurturing environment for artists, writers, actors, filmmakers and fans,
and will focus on offering great networking opportunities for its
participants.
This year at the Astoria/LIC
International Film Festival (October 14-16), we are providing New York City youth with the opportunity to shape
culture through their films, in what we hope becomes an annual event! We are inviting middle through high school students to submit narratives, documentaries, shorts, super-shorts,
music videos, PSAs, or any other creative expression through filmmaking,
and all student submissions are free!
The Impact
We believe that young filmmakers from New York City deserve an outlet
for their artistic endeavors to be appreciated! Prizes will be awarded to our winners.
What We Need & What You Get
Our goal is to raise $4,000 to fund our entire youth series. We would love for this to be a night that our filmmakers remember! In the event that we do not reach our goal, we would like to at the very least, be able to secure a venue for our screening. Each level of donation comes with a special perk. The more money we raise, the more special we can make this event!
