Our Story

Thank you for taking the time to view this campaign. My name is Savannah Houston-McIntyre, and I am the writer and producer of Amya. I work alongside my co-writer Andrew Hewitt, as well as our illustrator Rebecca Gunter.

Amya is a high-fantasy graphic novel that my comrades and I have dedicated our time and skill to publishing since September 2009, though the story began years prior. We consider Amya much more than a hobby, it is a passion.

In the first two chapters "Unexpected Meeting" and "The Monster of Erishore", we followed the adventures of a mute spell-touched and her unlikely companions as they were pulled into an adventure that was greater than any of them could have anticipated; or ever expect to fulfill.

The third installment "Conflict at Deepwall", focuses on unwrapping the mystery surrounding Faye and her purpose to the story. We will meet new villains and find new friends as Faye discovers she is to be the saviour of a world she has been segregated from since birth. This will lead to her biggest ultimatum through the series: Does she want to sacrifice her own humanity for the world -- or the world for her humanity?

What We Need

As an independent publisher, printing comics at the level of quality that readers expect is financially challenging. We had fantastic support from our readers towards the print run of Chapter Two, and the campaign was a success. Chapter Three is the largest of the series to date at 76 pages; therefore the production cost is higher than the previous issues. 

Because of recent medical concerns involving myself and continuing medical concerns surrounding my son, I have not been able to supply as much funding for the project from my own pockets as I have in the past. To compile these pages into a solid format that you can hold and cherish - we will once again need your help.

It is my hope that you will help me raise $2,500 of the cost to print Chapter Three. Anything we raise above that amount will aid in printing the project sooner, or add to the amount we are able to print.
