Our Story

Aly Cook, a recording artist from New Zealand, will be releasing her album. "Brand New Day" In February 2011.  Once released, Aly will go on a world-wide tour to promote "Brand New Day."  The Tour begins at New Zealand's Wildfoods Festival on March 12th, 2011. Now the first Super Supporter gig at the Woodstock Hotel - Hokitika.. Followed by A Night Under the Big Sky - Alpine Springs, Lake Tekapo. Saturday 26th of March, 2011.

Then, on the 1st of May, the crew heads off to Brisbane Australia for one of Australia's biggest country music festivals, The Urban Country Music Festival.  For the next week, beginning May 15th and ending May 22nd, Aly will be appearing at Norfolk Island Country Music Fest (Where she is also a judge of the Norfolk Air Trans Tasman Entertainer of the Year).

Next stop, Aly travels to the United Kingdom in June and is booked to perform at Towerfest in Drax, Selby Yorkshire from June 17th - 19th.  Then onto the Americana International Festival in Nottingham, United Kingdom from the 8th of July to the11th.  The tour and documentary filming comes to an end with the last festival at the Port Pirie Festival in South Australia, beginning October 13th and ending October 16th. (There are several other festivals in the wings but not yet confirmed; therefore, this schedule is subject to change).

The Impact

The documentary already has a commitment to broadcast on Mainland Television in New Zealand.  The documentary will be like a "running diary" for each festival involved.  For other musicians who may wish to travel, it is our hope it will be a valuable tool in helping you plan.  This documentary will have live performances from Aly, interviews with those who run the festivals, & travel highlights from the locations of the festivals.  The documentary will be edited & produced by Paul Sparkes, who has produced Aly's previous music videos.  Once completed, the documentary will be pitched to other TV networks as well as released on a double DVD in 2012.

"Brand New Day" is a fan funded album made possible through the support and financial backing of many investors on Sellaband.com.  50% of the wholesale cost of the "Brand New Day" CD sales and 50% of the wholesale download price for "Spend it" generated from this fan funding campaign, will go back to Sellaband for distribution amongst the investor/believers from the CD sales and downloads of the new songs.

For those who have invested in "Brand New Day", this is a win/win situation and this documentary fund raising is now integral in making the album a success.  We have a beautiful music CD nearly completed, with State-of-the-art production and a tour around the world to promote and sell the CDs.

Please be part of making it all work together.

What We Need & What You Get

The budget for release and tour will be determined by the funds raised with this project, as well as a lot of sheer, hard work.  We are actively looking for gigs to include in the documentary tour; therefore, I welcome anyone interested in offering gigs, interviews, etc., to please contact: production@futuresentertainment.net

You can become a Super Supporter for US$1,500 and book your own gig. or $1,500 as a sponsor with your logos on all the promotional material.

We have invested in a HD Pro Cam  and our funds are for promotion of the tour & documentary travel expenses and of course, editing post production.

This tour is going forward, so the more we raise.the better job we can do of promoting.

With an investment of only US$10, you get a sneak peak at the first single, for $15  you will be pre-purchasing the CD and/or the DVD, and for incrementally higher investments, you will get T-Shirts and other items, right up to booking your own gig for US$1,500.

The best thing with indiegogo.com, is that we can accept, what ever we get in the time allowed and it in will be instrumental in making this tour and documentary a success.
