Amber traveled the world training and working first as a dancer, singer, and actress. From Australia to the UK, from India back to her native US, she is influenced by many genres of work as well as the diverse cultures.
After nearly 10 years abroad, she settled in New York in 2005 to make the short fan film “Catwoman: Resolution.” Shortly thereafter she formed her production company ALM Talkies and began to develop a slate of projects.
Amber took a personal experience of being invited to a music market in the south of France and expanded it into her directorial debut, “Dirty Step Upstage,” a reality thriller. The story follows Amber as she films a young singer that will do anything to become famous. Amber also plays a character in the film “Girl In The Red Dress,” who provides an original soundtrack to the movie.
Upon distribution of “Dirty Step Upstage,” Amber has plans to produce and direct another short Catwoman fan film that’s been brewing since 2006. She would also like to release similar online shorts extending the “Girl In The Red Dress” storyline, as well as a graphic novel or comic book series.
She has a portfolio of other projects in development and is always on the lookout for future collaborators.
