About Me

I am a filmmaker. This notion is central to understanding I am. It is an idea passed on to me by my late mentor and friend, Tom Mankiewicz. Tom always pushed me to view myself as filmmaker first and whatever title I have on a project second. When that's your attitude you take ownership, and the results are always better.
I am something of an educational prodigy. I graduated from high school at the age of 16; a feat which I accomplished with his freshman year of college already under his belt. I then earned his Associates of Science degree in Japanese from Utah Valley University. I then enrolled in the International Business program at Vanguard University of Southern California, completing his degree in 2007. In 2010 I completed an MFA at the Dodge College of Film and Media Arts as well as an MBA at the Argyros School of Business & Economics, at Chapman University.
