aWe Creative Group is comprised of like-minded Artists, Writers and Entertainers whose main objective is to create, grow and inspire. Our main focus is creating aWe inspiring original pieces developed through a collaborative process, that can educate, inform and spark a creative domino effect.  ALL DONATIONS ARE TAX-DEDUCTIBLE.

Our Story: aWe Creative Group was founded in 2005 by Amy E. Witting and her constant collaborators Kerry Fitzgibbons and Billy Weimer.  In 2009 the quartet was complete when Amy met Tiffany May McRae teaching theatre in Ecuador with Dramatic Adventure Theatre.  Together we have been working on the play G.I. Joe Jared; Based on One Really Bad Date for over a year now. Due to the overwhelmingly positive response to the play we decided it had to keep moving and growing. Meanwhile Amy (the playwright) visited Scotland last August and attended the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and a plan was hatched- G.I. Joe Jared must be performed in the festival. Once the plan was put in motion we were surprised by the news that G.I. Joe Jared; Based on One Really Bad Date will be published this Spring by The New York Theatre Experience!
 
Impact: It is important for aWe Creative Group to show the world what is happening in NYC in blackbox theaters, more often than not, it's the best stuff going on in the city and this play is no exception. It is a beautiful play about friendships, loss, and horribly awkward dates. We are hoping to raise enough money to get there and show the world what a special piece this is, and if we don't reach our goal, we're going anyway. We just may be in some debt :) If we pass our goal we will put the money towards our fall production of On Halloween Night, as well as a Children's Show, The Untitled AWE Project. aWe Creative Group has been working toward creating a Childrens Theatre Curriculum that will be launched in 2012.  Through Amy E. Wittings twenty years of babysitting experience, along with the impact Childrens Theatre Programs had on each member of aWe Creative Group its become a passion to create a program that will keep the arts alive in children who dont have access to arts programs in their schools. 
 
What we need, what you get and where is your money going: Our ultimate goal for aWe Creative Group is to raise $32,000 to produce our fall production of On Halloween Night, as well as, launch our Childrens Theatre Program.  Our initial fundraising goal for The Edinburgh Fringe Festival is $10,000.  We are hoping to raise $10,000 in order to produce our play here at East to Edinburgh in July and bring a cast/crew of five to Scotland for three weeks in August. You will have the opportunity to donate in $20, $50, $100, $250, $500 and $1000 increments, but anything you would like to donate would be much appreciated. For your donations you will receive anything from a picture of Tiffany looking up a kilt, a magnet, a signed copy of the play, two tickets to the NYC East of Edinburgh production, and to our top donors a very special "reading" with Jared. Your donations would go towards travel expenses, entrance fees, program fees, advertising, costumes, rehearsal space, and perhaps a meal or two.  If we surpass our goal we will be using the money for our fall production of On Halloween Night, and our upcoming Children's Show--The Untitled AWE Project  expected to premier Winter - 2012. 
 
 Other Ways To Help: We will be performing at East of Edinburgh which is in NYC, July12th, 13th, 14th at 7pm and July 16th at 2pm at the 59E59 Theatres. So please come see us then and tell your friends! You will have a special opportunity to see the playwright perform in the play on July 16th at 2pm.  She will be the understudy in Scotland, and is busting out her acting chops for one performance only in NYC!
