Our Story
A number of years back, the producer, Mark Seymour, ran across an autobiography of William 'Bat' Masterson, called Famous Gunfighters of the Western Frontier. (It's now available at Amazon.com) He realized the story needed to become a docudrama about the lives (and deaths) of Masterson and those he'd known, including the Earps and Doc Holliday, of Gunfight at the OK Corral fame.
Having written the script and found locations and actors in the Austin, Texas area, it now needs to get funded so Proofmark Cinema can make the video, to be called Zone of Fire. (That title comes from a line in Masterson's book, about his time in the West.)
The Impact
The video will bring to life the long-lost stories of Bat Masterson, Wyatt Earp, Virgil Earp, Morgan Earp, Doc Holliday, and others of the era.
What We Need & What You Get
Needless to say, we need more money than we have. Part of the difficulty of budgeting for a video like this is nailing down all the possible things you think you'll need; unfortunately, there are a lot of unknowns. We'd like fifty thousand; we can do it for less. We are planning on selling the resulting video to the History Channel or some similar outlet; investors will get a return on their investment based on that sale.
Other Ways You Can Help
Pass the word; you undoubtedly have friends and/or family who might be interested. There are also local Western organizations (cowboy action shooters, riding groups, etc.) who might be interested.
