Our Story
Our story is about individuals who were either at the end of their elementary school careers, or in junior high school and how the events of September 11th, 2001 have affected their lives. This includes how these events effected their families, schools, and general region.
The Impact
We strive to show how being an adolescent post-9/11 has been for those of generation-Y, as well as how these events may have impacted how an entire generation thinks and feels about what it is to be an American and etcetera. We also hope to show a new perspective on the events of 9/11 by not just interviewing victims and their families, but also young adults who may not have known anyone, to show what it was like to be a child during this chaotic and tragic time.
What We Need & What You Get
We are hoping to raise at minimum $600 so as to be able to pay for our participants' travel expenses, as well as to be able to pay for all meals for participants and crew. We want this to be as professional of a documentary shoot as possible, and thus we want to take care of everyone involved in the creative process. We also may have to buy archive footage, and if any of said footage were licensed, we would need to pay for any and all costs for that. If we do not make our goal, we may not be able to get the stories of a great individual, only because they could not afford to come and be interviewed by us as well as be able to show all of the great footage needed to show the impact these events had on our country and it's citizens.
Other Ways You Can Help
Any amount donated will be more than appreciated, but if you could also spread the word about this project, we would all be extremely grateful and all those who contribute will get a credit at the end of the film.
Thank you for reading and please contribute!!
