What is the XStylus?

The XStylus was designed from my own desire to have a comfortable stylus which can be stored in the original pen slot of the Nintendo handheld game console. 
 
After a year of drafting, designing, tweaking and prototyping, the XStylus became my solution of transforming the tiny touch pen that comes with the Nintendo game console into a pen that is as wide as a regular pencil.
 
The XStylus Crayon is compatible with the Nintendo 3DS, DSLite, DSi and DSi XL.

What You Get

Funders of this project will get the "IndieGoGo Special Edition", which comes in a set of 4 pens in various color combinations of black, white, red and blue.  This special edition will not be available elsewhere. Also, we have put together a pretty attractive perk scheme and by supporting this project on any of the perk level, you will get something in return once the project completes in May.   Check it out on the right--->

What We Need

Our project goal is US$7,000 but our real goal is really US$10,000... I know it is a lot of money to make this tiny pen but this is the bare minimum amount for me to start the production of this project and to get the XStylus into your hands.  This cost includes the cost of the production moulds, "304 stainless steel" screws, sourcing and trial of the raw materials, the cost of the silicon mould for the initial prototypes, shipping charges etc...

 

As a cost of fundraising on IndieGoGo, I'm expecting to pay US$700-1000 in commission, exchange rate fees and transaction fees to IndieGoGo and Paypal.  So, I'd really end up with just around US$6,000-9,000 for everything else, depending on how much I raise in 60 days.

 

By lowering my goal, I'm trying to minimize my risk (IndieGoGo takes 9% instead of 4% if my goal is not reached before the deadline).  Looking at the bright side, once US$7000 is reached, I will start production so that the XStylus Crayons can reach you sooner.
