Wendy Willming

About Me

 

Producer and filmmaker Wendy Willming studied Business Management, Marketing, and Film Production at the University of North Texas. Her extended work at the University led her to assist in live event filming at the Murchison Performing Arts Center with The College of Music’s Recording Services. Wendy assisted in filming many performances including the Grammy award winning Dave Brubeck Quartet, the UNT Jazz Singers, and the world renowned UNT Percussion event Global Rhythms. She was also promoted to Front of House Manager at the Murchison Performing Arts Center in 2009 and currently manages a staff of over 30 employees.

In May 2009, Wendy traveled to Los Angeles, California and participated in a reputable internship at FOX Broadcasting Companys FX Network in the creative department of On-Air Promotions. While at FX, Wendy worked with highly esteemed professionals and discovered the intricate business of the film and media industry. She learned to write and produce promotions for the network’s prestigious shows such as Rescue Me, Sons of Anarchy, and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Wendy also participated in reviewing promotional sound design, network voiceovers, and on-air promotional editing. While at FOX Studios, she was given the opportunity to attend a series of lectures in Media Marketing and Distribution from business professionals at 20th Century Fox, FUSE, FOX Sports, and FOX 2000.

Wendys next projects include producing the short film Microphone, starring Lindsey Rayl (Worth the Fall), an untitled music documentary, and a music video featuring the Austin based folk-rock band, Three Leaf. She will be moving to Los Angeles in the following months to pursue a career in feature film production and development.
