Keeping Classical Music Alive
The Nouveau Classical Project is an ensemble of young, award-winning musicians who promote classical music to wider audiences by presenting classical music in unique settings. In addition to traditional repertoire, we perform and promote the music of emerging composers.
Proceeds from this campaign will go towards supporting this production, and more importantly, all of the artists involved. Production expenses are costly and the more we can cover prior to the concert, the better we can support the artists! Since we are a non-profit, these contributions are 100% tax-deductible.
Slideshow with music coming soon! In the meantime listen to us here.
Our Latest Project- Wearing the Lost Generation: a Musical/Sartorial Salon
The Nouveau Classical
Project will be at Symphony Space on April 5, 2012 to perform in a salon event, Wearing the
Lost Generation. NCP reimagines the Parisian Avant Garde in an evening of music
by Ravel’s Piano Trio in A minor and the world premiere of ‘Lost Generation,’
an electro-acoustic work by emerging composer Trevor Gureckis.
The performers will be
wearing music-inspired pieces by quirky milliner and designer Heidi Lee.
Lost Generation was made possible by a grant from the American Composers Forum with funds provided by the Jerome Foundation.

Muses The Nouveau Classical Project
The Nouveau Classical Project (NCP) combines classical music and fashion in multidisciplinary projects. Members of NCP who will be part of this performance are: Domenica Fossati, flute; Isabel Kim, clarinet; Patti Kilroy, violin; Mariel Roberts, cello and Sugar Vendil, piano.
Musicians wear music-inspired fashion, thoughtfully curated or specially designed by some of the most exciting up-and-coming designers and stylists in New York's fashion scene. NCP has expanded its work to collaborative art projects and external events. Until NCP conquers the universe, or at least the East Coast, NCP performs primarily in New York City. Music is at the heart of NCP’s work. The group creates opportunities for contemporary composers to have original work presented in a variety of settings, including traditional performance formats, fashion shows, art installations and more.
