Our Story

When we set out to make the webseries Wave Goodbye, we were looking for something new. Something big.  Something of a scope that few have dared to undertake on the web.  Our original aspirations was to set out and release one episode a week for 52 weeks... but who were we kidding, we have jobs, lives and other things that make that damn near impossible.  So we set on a number, forty episodes over 52 weeks.  And these aren't your typical small productions of one location sitting in front of a green screen.  The production values are huge in our little project.  The actors are amazing.  And the story keeps unfolding and going in directions we never imagined.

Oh wait, I keep referring to "we" in this pitch and I haven't even told you who we are.  Well we have:

Eric Goodwin - Co-creator, Director and DP

Adam Morris - Co-creator, Writer and Co-Producer

Zac Sanford - Co-creator, Writer and Co-Producer

I've gone ahead and linked to our twitter pages.  Check us out, if you don't already know us.

What We Need & What You Get

So far we've shot an amazing three episodes on our own dime.  We've kept it as cheap as possible and the crew is so stream-lined it basically consists of the "we" listed above.  As the scope of the story is growing, some costs are starting to get a little out of hand.  We need to buy/rent some equipment to make sure we continually deliver a quality web series week after week.  And since LA is one of the least location friendly places on planet Earth, some of our locations are starting to cost us an arm and a leg.

Besides the nuts and bolts behind the scenes, we also want to give back to our gracious cast who has been kicking ass for us.  Even at our budget there isn't a lot to give, but they deserve anything that we can throw their way.  If you've watched the fundraising video, I'm sure you'll agree.

Plus, even if we hit the $10,000 goal, that is only $250 per episode.  We'll still be out of pocket some, and since we're all underpaid in this city where the rent is too damn high, we'd love to get any help we can.  Times are tough and we're running this during the worst time of the year.  We understand that you have gifts to buy and bills to pay, so we appreciate anything you can give... even a dollar.

Other Ways You Can Help

Even if you can't give money, we're always looking for people to help us out on the set.  We shoot typically on the weekends or evenings within LA (Remember, I said we've all got jobs).  We don't really have money to pay, but you'll get experience, you'll get credit (even on IMDb once they list us) and we'll feed you.  We may even have a couple freelance episodes for aspiring writers to join in.
