Our Story
Last year, 13-year-old high school freshman Tori Molnar watched her peers struggle to find seemingly non-existent jobs in a frightening economy. In that moment, Tori decided to start a business. Her endeavor began as a small online boutique where she would sell trendy fashion rings. Samples from manufacturers started to pour in and friends became more and more interested in getting involved. Tori realized she had to develop a system that these girls could use to make money on their own while having fun and gaining invaluable lessons in small business and personal finance. Utoria was born.
Utoria is a direct sales company for 14 to 19 year-old girls that offers an earning opportunity and an interactive learning experience where they develop key business skills to last a lifetime. Utoria teaches girls:
- How to make money through fun direct selling
- How to use social media in a positive way
- The importance of respect for others and yourself
- Extreme self-confidence and self-worth
Utoria is all about you!
Utoria offers a wide range of products: electronics, gifts, jewelry, skin care and moreall designed so every girl can sell something she loves. Price points range from $20 to $200. Each girl reviews the full line to choose the products she wants to sell. After she makes her selection, she prints out her catalogue and puts it into her customized Utoria binder. This becomes her own unique cataloguea reflection of her style and preferences.
The girls even get to choose HOW they sellthrough parties, social media, trade shows or casual conversation when out and about.
The Founder
Tori Molnar is an inspiring 14 year-old entrepreneur, speaker, and soon-to-be author. Her father died while she was a baby, leaving Tori to be raised by her young mother. Less than a year after Toris father died, she was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy, a disease that impairs the muscles ability to function properly. Toris diagnosis made her a candidate for Make-A-Wish and she had the opportunity to go on radio shows, speak at an annual golf outing and even guest coach a college basketball game. Despite the challenges, Tori won karate medals, performed in dance, piano and guitar recitals, rode horses, raced ATVs and then went to find her true passion in business. This may be Toris biggest challenge yet, and shes not about to let a lack of funding hold her back.
Although Utoria was created by Tori Molnar, she had a lot of guidance and support from some amazing mentors. For the past year Tori has had an invaluable amount of help from small business champion Tory Johnson, product development whiz Jen Groover, business coach Jenn Lee and many other amazing people. Without them, Utoria would be non-existent.
Now Tori is more determined than ever to make them proud while building a life-changing opportunity for her peers.
