Please help us reach the full goal of $10,000
Under the Stairs is a short film and modern fairy tale on the themes of childhood courage and how the imagination deals with loss. Though the story revolves around the experiences of a ten-year-old boy, it is layered with a narrative and thematic complexity that ventures beyond that of a simple childrens story and will possess broad appeal across age groups. Inspirations include Alice in Wonderland, Miyazakis Spirited Away, and the fiction of Neil Gaiman. The script is a 2008 Movie Script Short Contest finalist.
The total project budget for this 20-minute film is $10,000. Our proposed goal of $3,000 will only fund approximately 6 minutes of screen time.
