Our Story

March 24, 25, and 26th at C.P.R. we will be presenting Triangle, a puppet play with live music.

We've been developing this collaborative puppet theater project as part of the city-wide commemoration of the 1911 Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire.  Through workshop performances, we have been honored to receive partial funding from the Jim Henson Foundation, the Vermont Arts Council, and the National Endowment for the Arts.  As funding today only covers a fraction of total production costs, we are now looking to our community to ask if Triangle is something worthy of true public funding.

The Impact

We want to provide an artistic statement about this tragedy.  One that not only explores the charecters of the past, but allows their ghosts to indirectly challenge us, to ask ourselves - have we really changed?  Are things really better now?  Are the doors still locked (maybe not here, but somewhere?)

What We Need & What You Get

This productions, although minimalist artistically, involves 5 singers, 3 puppeteers, 6 instrumentalists and a lot of commuting.  We're trying to make sure that our artists get compensated for their tireless efforts in finding the voice of this play.  As thanks, we will be giving out downloads and one-of-a-kind CDs with original art from composer and producer Bradley Kemp.  We also have buttons and stickers with our "Remember" logo you see at the end of the video - not to promote us, but to simply promote mindfulness about the centennial.  You will also receive the warmth of knowing you have helped this project, in a time when federal, government and philanthropic giving is very sparse.
