Tom Collins

"Tommy", an alcoholic, gets out of jail and tries to follow his dreams of being a stand up comedian and find his way back to Sarah, the woman he loves.

Help keep Tom Collins alive!

Wow! I can't believe we're almost there! Right now, Tom Collins, a Massachusetts independent feature film, is being sent to festivals all over the world. The film was shot over a grueling 20 days with no budget and no crew. I personally financed the the film with my savings and credit along with a small MA State Grant and Berkshire Bank Grant. We all wore many hats to get this film made and WE NEED YOUR HELP TO KEEP THIS FILM ALIVE!

The last eight years of my life and much of my childhood was spent in The Berkshires of western MA. I've cut a lot of lawns and spent my time bar tending and making films. I met Matt Shaw on the set of my film The Chosen One (award winner & available on DVD) where he had a small role and afterwords we became close friends.

As time went by I knew I wanted to make a film about guys like us just working hard to get by while trying to follow our dreams. We used mostly non-actors for all the parts but everybody knew each other already so the chemistry on set was great because everyone had relationships in real life. Our collaboration was special and gives a powerful authenticity and fresh perspective to life in a regular town.

We were planning on shooting Tom Collins on standard DV when I met Curran Giddens of Solar System Studio who liked the idea and introduced us to EMMY award winning cinematographer Thomas Lowe. With the help of these guys, what started as a video project grew to a serious independent film.

With this Indie Go Go campaign we hope to continue this dream and raise $10,000 to help us screen at festivals and attain distribution. Right now, we are covering post production expenses, including sound mix, color correction, master export, DVD duplications, printing press kit promotional materials, website design, with credit cards.

In the immediate future we will need to hire a publicist and sales agent to get the film proper distribution. At the end of the day, what ever we raise will help the production move forward. So the more we can raise, the better chance we have to go to market and be seen by you!

We are all very proud of Tom Collins so please check out the trailer and website for more information and if you feel it's a project worth supporting donate what you can afford to! Even if you can't donate and like the work please 'share' the link to spread the word!

Thank you all for listening and supporting a truly independent film!
