To Remember Is To Jump Around There is an emotionally-driven dance work exploring how memory, nostalgia, and fantasy intersect. This piece began in January, 2011 after Choreographer Danielle Ross began reading the theories and memories of Karl Jung. A great deal of this piece was inspired by the notion of loss and how we hold on to that which we hold dear. This is a dance about what is left behind. There is an unfortunate trend of artists being underpaid in the world of performance. Your generous donations will go directly to the artists collaborating on this project. This group of talent has put an immense amount of heart into a project that has been unfolding for the past year. All funding will help to compensate them for their work, leading to more creative endeavors and a stronger performance community in Portland. Thank you all for your generous donations!
