“Thunder-Sky” is a unique film in the works. We have shot about 60 percent of it, capturing a wonderful group of committed artists who create art out of sheer love. You will find their enthusiasm contagious. This group was inspired by one man.
A lot of Cincinnatians remember a man dressed in a clown collar and construction hat, walking the streets with toolbox in tow. He did this for many years, mystifying folks as to what he was up to. The man’s name was Raymond Thunder-Sky. And what he was doing was drawing demolition and construction sites throughout Cincinnati. Raymond’s father was the last full-blooded chief of the Mohawk tribe, acted in western films and worked construction. Raymond passed away in 2004, leaving behind 2,000 drawings, clown costumes, construction hats, and tool-boxes. Thunder-Sky, Inc. was founded in order to preserve his legacy and to provide an exhibition space for artists like Raymond. Indeed many of these artists, like Raymond, suffer from disabilities, such as autism and down syndrome, but it is the goal of this gallery to concentrate on the art, as opposed to the handicap. The artists of Thunder-Sky Inc have shown all over the country. Now, in partnership with Eaker Productions, LLC, Thunder-Sky Inc is taking this story, through the medium of film, to a much wider audience.
Funds raised will go towards Equipment, editing, manpower, trips, art supplies, editing, post-production website, art supplies for the artists, and will give this story the attention it deserves.
When finished, we will be taking this film to festivals and distributors. Interest has already sparked. Be a part of this unique film about a one of a kind artist and the artists he inspired. “Thunder-Sky” will affect and move you, it has us and we believe this film will make a considerable impact.
Our total Film Budget is $40,000
