The Story

RJ travels to a small town in Oregon with Elder Merrill to serve their mission and teach the words of Joseph Smith. Living together and sharing the challenge of leaving home, the two men help each other discover their strengths. They share a passion for their faith and learn to express their feelings, risking the only community they have for a forbidden intimacy.

Why You Care

The Falls explores the awakening of homosexual love between young Mormons. A relationship drama that appeals to anyone who has ever loved, this film holds a place for people who can challenge their received beliefs to express what they really feel.

We filmed in Portland, Oregon with a dedicated cast and crew. Nick Ferrucci and Ben Farmer, the film's lead actors, embody their characters with professionalism gained through years of work with the film and theater community. Telling stories that move people, we hope to explore what it means to be human. We'd like to connect with our audience and create meaningful relationships that will improve our quality of life.

When we complete the film, our intention is to screen The Falls at film festivals and build support for storytelling with heart. Your connection to this film is part of sharing the vision for a world that embraces every expression of human love.

What We Need and What You Get

To finish this film we have to pay for editing, sound design and final output of the film. I have already found the right editor, the footage is logged and ready to go. To complete the edit on this film, it will cost $1000 and the sound design and final output will be an additional $2000.

Any donation would be greatly appreciated, even if its only a dollar. We want to thank you for donating to an important story powerfully told as a feature film!
