Visitor from Elsewhere tells the story of how when things are at their most dire, when all your hopes and dreams lie shattered and destroyed, when the world as you know it is gone there is still hope if you are willing to believe.

Edward Bloom is a writer who dreams of writing the book that transforms things, that makes us look at ourselves and the world with new eyes and offers new perspectives on the human condition. And he offers this gift to a world that seemingly needs none. His girlfriend Molly dreams of material things a home and a family and is egged on by her diva sister Betsy, who puts something better under Mollys nose when she introduces her to Rocco, a rich sophisticated European who would like nothing better than to take Molly away from all this. When everything is destroyed The Visitor from Elsewhere appears to Edward and a journey of discovery begins.

The Visitor from Elsewhere began with a communal dream of creating a piece of film art that could show that you didnt have to live in Hollywood or know celebrities to make a good movie. Nothing against horror but we also wanted to show that real indie is not (necessarily) about blood, gore and sex. We wanted to show that real indie means the freedom to make a movie about what we think is important for our culture and not what is marketable or popular. We didnt want to make another vampire picture or a film that shoots at the lowest common denominator. Over the last two years, totally on our own, we wrote the script, cast the movie, purchased the equipment, found locations and shot the movie. Now in post production and after spending $10, 000 of our own meagre funds we need the help of the Indie GoGo community to help us raise funds to complete post production and help us pay finishing expenses. We still need to pay for funding for DVD duplication
and production, film festival entrance fees and festival related travel, funds to pay for bandwidth for our web site and funds to archive The Visitor from Elsewhere in a bank safety deposit box to protect it for prosperity. All monies raised will be strictly accounted for and made publicly available for supporters to see.
