Our Story
The Soliloquy is a contemporary short film adaption of Shakespeare's Macbeth. It is the result of nearly a year long journey by the Category III team on this project and the Director's exploration of Macbeth during the course of that time (including performing on stage as Macbeth). The film's total running time is 8 minutes but its extremely dense format feels considerably longer. People are saying they enjoy the film even more after repeat viewings, and all contributors will get unrestricted, on demand access to watch the film.
The immersive styled film feature's a powerful score that has already led to requests for the soundtrack (which is now available as a donation perk!).
What We Need & What You Get
While most people ask for money and then try to make a movie we figured people would be more confident contributing if we proved we could make one first. While we produced the movie on our own dime, we still need funds to get it out there. Your donations will allow us to showcase the film on the festival circuit (including submission to Sundance) and distribute it. While our minimum goal will cover these basic expenses we are hoping to raise significantly more to recoup our investment and enable us to move on to the next project.Get Perks for Being a Supporter
