Our Story
Starring Carey MacLaren and Laurel Kemper, The Sky Has Fallen is an independent horror film that won Best Horror Feature at the 2009 Indie Gathering Film Festival and Best Feature at the 2009 Freak Show Horror Film Festival. It was also nominated for Best Score at the 2009 British Film Festival LA. We need your help to get this post-apocalyptic monster out into the world. We'll be submitting the movie to more festivals, sending out more screeners for reviews, taking the film around to independent theaters, advertising and promoting it, etc. Plus, we'll be editing the final cut of the film (with your credits! and a lot of new footage) and paying for new sound design. Anything you can contribute is greatly appreciated even if it's only referring a friend. The film is already on IMDb so you can get your credits as soon as your pledge is collected. We're hoping to raise a lot more than $500, but that'd be a good start. Thanks!

"... an engaging, thoughtful, and highly atmospheric film..."
- James Gracey, Behind the Couch
"Top notch makeup and effects here."
- Jeffrey Atencio, The Jaded Viewer
"... it's always nice to see someone do something a bit different with the genre and this is certainly the case for The Sky Has Fallen... refuses to follow the 'survivors trying to survive' plot that is all too common... this film is very striking and much attention has been paid both to the look of the zombies and the beings in the background... James Sizemore's score is incredibly atmospheric and really does work beautifully with the visual feel of the film to suck you in totally. I really was on the edge of my seat by the time the film ended."
- Paul Pritchard, Pulp Movies
"Of course, Roos would be at a loss without two strong leads to rely on. Thankfully, Carey MacLaren as sword wielding dynamo Lance and Laurel Kemper as revenge encrusted Rachel definitely hold the picture aloft on their two very capable shoulders – offering up performances of taut depth and humor."
- Brian Kirst, Horror Society
"... a very nice surprise... what caught my attention first was the haunting but beautiful score... the camera-work was top-notch too."
- Matthew Scott Baker, Shattered Ravings
"The Sky Has Fallen is a surprisingly good movie... the acting was fairly strong as was the direction... the zombies were extremely gruesome and just caked with blood and gore. It was really some of the best make-up I've seen in an independent movie... and the story was excellent and it even had a powerful ending."
- David Oakes (Verhoskan), ZMDB
