How The ROOM worksInside The Room is a game with rules. The most important rule? You must truthfully answer the questions you are given, or you will not be able to leave. At all. Through the answers of the people locked in The Room, we discover their stories. Sometimes the people are connected, sometimes their stories are paralleled, but The Room always uncovers a mystery. New questions, which are slid under the door, appear only when the previous question has been answered truthfully. The Room ALWAYS knows the truth. The characters read the questions aloud to the camera in front of them, but they are not aware of a second hidden camera watching them intently from behind
Every episode of The ROOM will involve a completely new storyline and actors. The only constant is The ROOM itself, which always knows the truth about the people who are invited into it. Each episode will exist in short form and will vary in style and genre. While the pilot episode is dramatic and dark, future episodes will involve comedy, thriller, romance and will incorporate different styles of film, like film noir, comic book, etc.
WHAT MAKES THE ROOM SPECIAL- The format of “The R00M” provides several creative opportunities for those who wish to participate on every episode. The concept was created with this in mind. “The R00M” is a platform for both experienced and up-and-coming writers, directors, cinematographers, editors, costume and makeup designers to collaborate and feature their work.
In the collaborative spirit of the project, we welcome ideas and submissions for all creative aspects of production. Please email info@theroomseries.com with your information. We are always open to all types of submissions, but check back on our site periodically to see our specific needs (i.e. comedic scripts, directors with a passion for film noir, etc).
FINANCIAL NEEDS-We welcome investors and financial contributions which would allow the production of this collaborative concept to continue and thrive. Rarely do artists have a forum to produce their own ideas. Please help keep this vision alive by funding an episode or sponsoring a specific aspect of production! In order to create a quality show, “The R00M” will use funds to cover cast and crew salary, equipment rentals, insurance, and other production costs.
