The Story:

A group of travelers descends on The Park to witness one last Firefall. They come from different backgrounds and walks of life, but their paths will crash together in hilarious ways as a film crew documents (Mockuments) their crazy antics.
The characters comprised of: Scottish "Free" Climbers, a disgraced outdoor survival television host and his nephew, a former welter-weight bodybuilding champion who's let himself go, a dysfunctional family in denial, Park Rangers, a hiding hippie who has been living in The Park for years, and a Mutant Bear will experience amazing, terrifying and hilarious situations as they discover their true character and values on their way to the final Firefall.

Why We're Doing It:

We love telling stories and this is a great one.  We believe it will have extremely wide appeal and be a crossover comedy, due to the physical humor in the movie, that will do well both here and in foreign markets.  The script won 'Excellence in Comedy' in 2010 at the Action on Film International Film Festival and WE absolutely LOVE it.  We are holding this campaign so we can raise enough money to make this comedy gem shine in the best light possible, and to give it wings to reach out and make the world laugh.

Who We Are and What We Need:

Matt Sconce is a multi-award winning Director/Writer/Filmmaker. His awards include: Winning a National American Idol music video contest in 2004, Best Sound Design for "Stricken the Short", Best Visual Effects for "PUSH", Best Adapted Screenplay for "Stricken", Best Horror Film for "Stricken", Best Visual Effects for "Stricken", and Excellence in Comedy for his co-written screenplay "The Park".  He has recently been nominated for Best Director, Best Feature Film, and Best Art Direction (Overall Look) for "Stricken" at The City of Death International Film Festival in Texas.  He has produced 11 shorts, recently completed the feature film "Stricken", is currently producing the feature film "Gold Fools", and is slated to be the director of photography on the feature film "Sunny and Ray Ray".  He has also filmed trailer footage for the Warner Brothers feature film "Red Riding Hood" and has written 3 Feature screenplays, 2 slated for Production in 2011.  His feature "Stricken" was just released by Warner Bros/Gravitas on 15 million televisions, and his 3D feature "Magic" is in pre-production co-producing with ILM's Kerner Studios.  "The Park" recently went into pre-production and films in July. He was recently nominated for an EMMY for his editing.

Gary Sconce is the Executive Producer of  the award winning film "Stricken".  He is also the inventor of the revolutionary new cinematic device the SPIN RIG, recently used by Icon Films for Animal Planet.  He won excellence in comedy for the co-written screenplay "The Park", and is currently preparing to make 2 feature films.  He is an inventor who can create magic with welders and machinery and can create anything that may be needed for a shoot.  He has created 21 foot cranes, steadicam rigs, dollies, sliders, camera mounts, shoulder mounted rigs, rail systems, car mounting rigs, matte box holders, flourescent light setups, and many other amazing and unique devices.  Together, with his son Matt, the two are a creative writing team parallel to none.  They think outside the box and their awards show the outcome.

This is our very first fundraising drive for The Park and we are aiming to raise $15,000 for pre-production/production costs.  This includes casting, location scouting, art direction, equipment and crew.  Any remaining funds from this drive will go straight to post production.  Almost as importantly, other potential donors and investors will use our success at IndieGoGo as a gauge by which to measure the public appeal of our project, so your donation may be worth twice as much!
What Else You Can Do:
If you believe in this idea, don't just donate, let people know about it!  Use the buttons above to post our IndieGoGo page to Facebook or Twitter, email friends and family you think might be interested, anything you can do to help spread the word.  Thank you in advance for your time and support.  We can't express how much it means to us!
