The Story

A positive story about a young man who leaves his regretful gang life in the past, for a better life in skateboarding. After loosing his close cousin to a gang shooting that he feels responsible for, he realizes the life style he is living is not right. While he is determined & working to change his life, he meets a new friend named Josh who introduces him to skateboarding. He later joins Josh, and two others in a skateboard team to help win a major skateboard competition. The only problem is, that his former gang member Rashad believes there is only one way out of a gang, and he wants to make sure that rule applies. 

This story relates to how many current professional athletes used their sport to stay away from trouble when they were younger growing up in urban areas. I have many inspirations for writing this, but one is to reach out to the younger teens who feel trapped in their surroundings. The people who don't get to hear successful & motivating stories that could change their lives and keep them away from the street life. We already have great skateboard companies such as 5Boro skateboards sponsoring this film project. Actor/ Comedian " Shawty" will be starring in the film as well as many more.
