The Lilliput is a feature length 35 mm movie, to be shot on location in Lodz and central Poland.

Inspired by the true life stories of Abraham Kerber, a Jewish dwarf, born in bred in the town of Gabin, Poland.

Minna Zielonka-Packer (MZ Packer), is the screenwriter, director and co-producer of the 111 minute film, begun during her tenure in 2008 as an American Fulbright to Poland.

Along with Packer’s father, Michael Ber, who was also raised in Gabin; the real dwarf photographer, Abraham (or Umchek, as he was known), witnessed and survived the onslaught of WWll in Poland.

The dramatic story follows the main character, Abraham, as he lives and loses, wins and loses love and lives of friends family and a lover.

In beginning and final scenes from a school in Poland today, we see how the past permeates and exists in the present, and how Abraham and Esther never completely disappear. A movie that questions history and a cautionary tale that shows us that we can never really escape our past.
