Our Story
My name is Georgia Maestro- I am a brilliant musician. I am a prolific, tangible,
market ready beauty who is going to break loose. Throughout my 26 years of musical
and artistic training, development and growth, I feel with utmost confidence that I am
ready for my dreams and my greatest imagined successes to be realized.
I am so blessed to have so many varieties of experience along with wide ranges in
technique and skill. I was born into a family who cultivated my pristine gifts beginning
with classical piano and operatic voice coaching from the young age of 4.
This was a seed soon to blossom into private competitions, and exclusive social
events where I would perform arias from The Marriage of Figaro or even traditional
Latin hymnals. I was young and talented and was invited to travel to sing with the most
amazing voices of the world. My experiences began to take more rebellious risks. As I
grew older I discovered an entire world to dive into - Rock and Roll. Oh my god, it blew
my mind.
I am from a strict religious background as well as having strict expectations
musically. So, naturally, this enhanced the desire to feel and fumble all around the things
I wasn't supposed to be and explore many of the new sounds I was being exposed to.
Unholy and amazing, I started plucking around on my father's guitar and singing and
writing my own songs on the guitar and the piano. I sang at open mics. I was invited to
attend a couple performances of James Browns The Godfather of Soul. I was in turn
invited to play for him on a grand piano at his hotel suite. This was a great introductory
experience for me. It taught me to remember to be fearless and free regardless of the
pressure.
I continued with open mics at a few places and that was what led me to meet the drummer
of the next big musical adventure, being in a band. Two amazing musicians and
myself formed PUSHBoX. They helped me learn how to play extraordinarily well with
others over the 10 years that followed. Both as a band and by myself I wrote over 300
songs and recorded eight albums. We signed a production agreement and recorded with a
Grammy award winning producer. We played at SXSW and Rocker Girl music festivals
several times. We traveled all over the West Coast and had amazing crowds. It was an
awesome experience. And now I am at a crossroads in my career where I am keeping the
focus on myself.
I am experimenting with writing and giving myself more opportunities for growth in order
to be the best successful, creative me. That is my life's calling, my path. I am an artist,
a prime product who has the image, sound, talent and ambition to succeed again on my
own. I am planning on recording, producing and engineering the majority of this album
myself. I am currently in need of some of the tools that I require to proceed with the writing
and recording of my first solo album. Due to unforeseen circumstances, all my equipment
had to be sold.
