I sat with Thelma last month and asked her, “If you had to choose one item that would represent you, what would it be?” She took her time, and with a very soft voice answered, “Can you get me a martini!!” Of course, I obliged…

Thelma, age 97, is one of my hospice patients. She is one of the many patients I see every day. Some have chosen war metals, rosary beads, a tool, a stethoscope…an item that shows the essence of their personal journey. I want to share their stories with you.

Everyone has a story to tell, and all we have to do is ask and listen. Do you ever take the time and look at an elders hands? Do you question where they’ve been, who they’ve touched, what they’ve been through? I do…everyday. I need to tell their stories…through one photograph. Perhaps their last.

Seeing these enlarged images in a gallery setting will affect the viewer in a profound way. It will leave the viewer wondering, “What object represents my life?”, “What have I done to make people remember me?” or “What would I choose?”.

Look beyond the wrinkles to the stories that you uncover in your own mind…and you’ll be humbly amazed at what you may feel.

I would like to display (12) 20″×30″ black and white photographs in a gallery starting in the Lehigh Valley. This can get a bit pricey….so, that’s where you can help. Each photo will cost approx $250-$300 to print, matte and frame. Along with this comes advertising, promotional items, printing materials, and some travel.

Many perks will be offered, from 8×10 photo of choice to a coffee table book featuring the amazing pairs of hands I have captured.
