Our Story
In the heart of our downtown sits the abandoned Sorenson's Garden Center. Once a bustling greenhouse, thriving with vibrant plant life, now sits dormant as a reminder of what once was, and what could still be.
Over the last few months, a group of forward thinkers from area organizations have come together with a vision to recreate this greenhouse into a food hub focused on sustainability, education, and business development.
Our greenhouse will be about community engagement, modeling innovative reuse of materials, showcasing approaches to growing and adding value to food, providing local business incubation, and creating an educational environment for all of Central Wisconsin; all while running on renewable energy.
