The Goblin Story
Hidden deep within a world of dreams and mysteries, a lost race of slaves has been building a grand labyrinth for countless aeons.
It is said that this magical maze stretches across an entire continent, inhabited by millions of slave descendants all trying to find meaning in a world where life is expendable and chaotic anarchy. Ruling over the great empire sits the goblin king and his council of elders.
By edict of the goblin king a standardised tarot has been commissioned. A deck of 78 cards, with 56 minor and 22 major arcana. The minor arcana cards of this deck commemorate the great goblin heroes of history, while the major arcana describe the great concepts that chart the destiny of the goblin hordes.
After months of delicate negotiation with an errant goblin trader, Michael Wenman has managed to acquire a handful of fragmentary goblin tarot decks. Some fragments belonging to the standard deck commissioned by the goblin king, and some from more esoteric sources. Using these, he has recreated a deck of cards for the human world. He has painstakingly redrawn the card images, researched the goblins depicted, and has recreated a number of the games and divination methods used with a deck such as this.

Not only will you receive a carefully and intricately illustrated deck of cards depicting an exotic world of goblins and fey, bu you will also gain the opportunity to help create a dynamic world as it evolves through a series of similar projects over the next few years.
Bounties and Rewards
The complete set of 78 cards has been drawn, descriptions have been provided for the 56 heroes depicted on the minor arcana. A few methods of divination and assorted card games have been devised for use with the deck. At the moment we have sourced a printer for the goblin tarot decks and we are looking at a number of options for printing companion booklets describing the cards and offering a bit more insight into the world from which the decks originate. The more people we get involved in the project, the better the economy of scale.
At the minimum funding levels, all contributors will receive their listed benefits, at higher levels of funding there will be a range of postcards, magnets and other paraphernalia added to the perk bundles.
At this stage:
If the campaign reaches $1500, contributors will receive their nominated perks (companion books will be short, containing only basic card descriptions, a few goblin card games and divination methods).
If the campaign reaches $2500 or more, contributors receiving physical items from this project will receive their nominated perks and a secret bonus gift.
If the campaign reaches $3500 or more, contributors receiving physical items from this project will receive their nominated perks and a secret bonus gift. (At this level of funding companion books will be more detailed, with details of the labyrinthine goblin empire, and many more exclusive illustrations).
If the project does not meet it's minimum goal, we will still endeavour to send everyone their nominated perks, but delivery may take a little longer.
Profits from this project will be used to contribute to the next stage of the Goblin world, a series of goblin board games.
