Hello everybody. My name is Cristian GUTI. I am 26 years old and I perform as 'The Glow Inc.'. Having received a classical training and studied violin from age six to fifteen, I have been a musician for the last twenty years. Even though the crucial importance of this classical training cannot be overstated, I however believe that I have only found my true musical love during the last ten years, through alternative and industrial rock, as well as electronic and ambient music. Picking up my first guitar back in 2000 was also the real beginning of my musical journey.

I have contributed to several video games or webcomics soundtracks during the last five years, projects such as Olympus 2207 by Nebesa Games, Fallout Online : Desert Europe, or, currently, the N.O.W project, that is to be released soon.


WHAT I WANT TO ACHIEVE :

I want to start my own company, 'The Glow Inc.', and score all sorts of projects, from jingles, to advertising, to movies, to ( mostly ) videogames. I would be interested in doing it all, as I live and breath music, BUT I would love getting to do it with my own twist, ( hence the appearance and design of my own website : www.theglowinc.com or www.iamtheglow.com for the English version ). I have been a video-game freak, post-apocalyptic fan, and pen and paper rpg nut for most of my life and these are the very things that inspire me. I love music, as I said, but most of my music comes from a visual idea or is inspired by such things as rust, steampowered giants, or ancient gods that dwell beneath the ocean ( Ia ! Ia ! Ftaghn ! ).


WHY DO I NEED FUNDING :

Great music requires talent, inspiration...but also great sounding musical libraries and gear, and these certainly do not come cheap. I have been funding new instruments, gear, software, and libraries by working for the last three years as a part time teacher but I simply cannot afford to buy everything I need to achieve a professional result.


THE IMPACT :

Reaching that goal would help me immensely and in different ways : I get to buy more gear for my studio, my songs will, thus, sound better, and more people will commission me to do music for them. Also, 'The Cockroach Sessions' gets printed, which means I have something professional-looking ( aka : not a CD-R ) to send to labels and video-game companies, people will get to hear my work and maybe, just maybe, someone will entrust me with a big project ?


WHAT YOU GET FOR YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS :

You get the first, extended version, of 'The Cockroach Sessions' album ( the album + three bonus tracks that will not appear on the final release ).
'The Cockroach Sessions' is a project that started back in August 2011 as I began scoring the Olympus 2207 demo. It is a collection of songs that range from orchestral, to electro-rock, to industrial with elements of world music. Some of them were done for Olympus 2207 and were remixed and remastered for the album, others were done for the N.O.W project, while half of them were done exclusively for this album. It's a perfect window on my work, my universe, and on what I would love to do professionally...Oh and it's already recorded, mixed and mastered : the files are eagerly waiting for you to download them !
