You may or may not be familiar with the work of THE GIN CLUB. We're a musical collective based in Brisbane, Melbourne, Stockholm and Daylesford. We like bucking trends and chinning up. 

We're growing tired of the silly cycles of the music industry. We just want to release albums for - and play to - people who want to listen; not chase carrots around and try and be the next big thing. We love each other heaps and we love our fans. And we plan on making another twenty albums.

So this IndieGoGo thing is perfect for us. We plan on doing this for most of our releases from now on, should this actually work. Salty's seemed to go pretty well so why not eh?

For our first effort we're going to try and release a live album on vinyl, CD and via digital download. We have recorded around twelve or thirteen shows over the past few years. We're in the process of going through them all picking the best performances. We will probably end up with a full CD (80min) worth of material, which we'll cull down for the vinyl (45min) but if you buy the vinyl you'll get the download anyway. We still have to go through all the shows we have; we just wanted to get this campaign up and running now so we can have the records ready in time for our Xmas shows.

The album will be culled from a stockpile of shows we've recorded over the past few years including a pair at the East Brunswick Club in Melbourne; our three CD launches at the Troubadour last year, as well as our set at the Troubadour's last ever night; a few festival appearances and some other odds and sods. 

Our target of $8000 should be enough to mix and master the album up to a high standard and get all the stuff made. If there's some left over then all the better to try and tour.. obviously the more we make the more chance we have of coming to Townsville and Cairns and Perth and all those other places we never get to go to! If we hit $8000 there's no reason we can't keep going.

A few important points - We have t-shirts and tea towels available this time! ALL contributions earn a mention in the credits; and all physical packs include a sticker, badge, download code and your name in the credits.

T-shirts will be in a range of colours and sizes including girls sizes and be of a high quality
