Many people travel the I675 corridor each day completely unaware of the impact that stretch of road has had on the surrounding areas. Would you be shocked to know that this road created many of the conditions seen today in the downtown area of Dayton, Ohio? In the 1960s and 70s greed, political corruption, corporate strong holding and lobbying lead to the poor planning in where I675 lays today. This has caused a 30 year domino effect of demise in the heart of a city that Forbes Magazine named as one of the fastest dying cities in America. The best part is you will be shocked to find out who is actually to blame.
The Domino Effect is a documentary film that uses Dayton, Ohio to show the ramifications to the future of poor planning and decisions that are being made each day in cities all over the world. Dayton is the perfect backdrop for this project.
