Our Story

We have completed our film The Diary of Preston Plummer and will have our World Premiere at the Miami International Film Festival on March 5, 2012! We are super excited to be releasing the film. Initially we thought our tiny film would be distributed in a do-it-yourself fashion however we have found ourselves in the wonderful position of signing a distribution deal with a major studio's digital distribution and video-on-demand (which is totally amazing and again not at all what we expected). However the expense of creating all of the various deliverable materials has turned out to be quite expensive and beyond our means so we are asking for your help in bringing this little film to the world!!  

The Impact

With your generous contributions The Diary of Preston Plummer will be released to a wider audience than we could have even imagined. This film deserves a chance to be seen by the world and with your help, you can make that happen!

What We Need

The following is a breakdown of the items that we need to create in order for us to deliver the film for distribution:

6 High Definition and 6 Standard Definition Tapes

Creation of 4:3 and 1.78 Aspect Ratios

Transfer Costs from Hard Drive to Tape

Addition of Closed Captioning on Each Tape

Quality Control on Each Tape

Fixes to Any Errors Found in Quality Control

DVDs of Each Aspect Ratio

Audio DVDs of the Film's Sound

Trailer on Tape in All Aspect Ratios

Dialogue and Continuity Script

Title and Copyright Search and Title Report

E&O Insurance

Shipping Costs

Cast Travel to the Premiere** A special benefactor agreed to pay for the cast travel!

All told, these items will cost us a minimum of $13,000. Theatricals usually cost about $100k but we are planning to do a lot of the work ourselves. So any additional funding that we raise during this campaign will go toward the promotion of the theatrical. We would love to raise more than $13,000. With your help, we believe we can and against all odds, we will get this film out to a wide audience and show them the beauty of Amelia Island.
