My name is Jeremy Tidwell. I am a filmmaker and with the help of my friends Ross Howard and David Howard we created a story entitled "The Deadbeats", which is a blend of horror, adventure, and comedy. We are all aspiring filmmakers who have made short and feature length films, but we also just love movies! So we sat down and came up with the idea of The Deadbeats. We all loved the movies the Monster Squad and The Goonies, so we wanted a film that was fun, scary, thrilling, and captivating just like those movies were to us, something that honored the nostalgia of those great movies. So then the story came to life. The Deadbeats is about four friends that love all kinds of movies, ranging from horror to fellini, and one of them owns a movie theater that is being foreclosed on by the bank. So the friends decide to find this rare movie and show it to try and save the theater. The only thing is this movie has a history and it is a bloody one! The friends soon find out when the film is shown the monsters in the film come to life and come after them! 

What we are hoping for is the opportunity to make a feature length film that will entertain and inspire all those who watch it. We are trying to make a movie that gives a sense of nostalgia to those who see it and they remember the great adventures they saw as children. We are sure our campaign on this site will be successful and we will be able to bring our story to life. We will make this movie and be passionate about it but we all need a little help at times and this is what we are hoping for. Also this film will be shot locally in Jacksonville and will feature one of the oldest movie theaters in the United States, The 5 Points Theatre. This will bring attention to the surrounding area and bring opportunities for further films to be made in Jacksonville giving a face to local businesses and the community
