About Us:
The Conium Review is a small press
publication from Portland, Oregon. We publish poetry and fiction from
local, national, and international authors. The first issue is due out in
February, 2012. The issue will be roughly
150 pages with a full-color cover and professional binding.
Our Funding Goals:
The Basics:
Your donation supports independent
writing and publishing, giving us the funds to...
- Expand our distribution, getting
the first issue into bookstores and libraries.
- Support our podcast,
featuring readings/interviews with authors/editors.
- Host upcoming literature
readings/workshops.
In More Detail:
We use online technology
to stay in touch with our readers, but we are firm believers in the importance
of print media, bookstores, and libraries.
Our current budget lets us fulfill pre-orders and maintain the website,
but we need a little extra funding to print additional copies and expand into
new bookstore distribution channels. In
short, this campaign gets our print journal into the hands of more readers.
While the print edition
is our main priority, this IndieGoGo campaign also gives us funds to continue
podcast production and host readings in the community. If we exceed the funding goal, we can put the
additional money toward CLMP dues, getting tables at conventions, upgrading our
website, and marketing the issue.
Even $1 helps. Please
support The Conium Review and independent publishing. Remember to tell your friends and spread the
word on Facebook and Twitter.
