SYNOPSIS
Sixteen year old Tom would do anything to be friends with Jake and his mates. When he is finally invited to hang out with the boys one Saturday night, he tells his mum hes off to the movies and rushes out of the house in his best clothes.

A bottle of rum fuels a destructive rampage. Determined to up the anti, Jake directs the boys to hurl beer bottles at a house. Incensed by constant bullying, Tom lobs a bottle at the house, smashing a window.

Ecstasy quickly turns to fear as the house lights switch on. Someone is home.

The Boys is a short drama about the invincibility of teenage-hood, and the universal desire to be accepted.

In the space of 9mins, this short film starts a poignant conversation about the realities of underage drinking, peer pressure and the reckless decisions that are made as a consequence.

The Boys will be shot in Sydney mid June 2010. Once the film is complete it will be sent to various International and Australian Film Festivals, pitched to distributors, have a strong online presence and be showcased at a VIP Screening held by THIRDHALF Productions in December 2010.
